District 47A State Representative, the Honorable Jim Nash, has been appointed as a member of the Crown College Board of Trustees.  The Board, which governs the College, has 20 members who can serve up to two consecutive four-year terms.

Other newly appointed members include:

  • Rev. Hector Belen, Superintendent of the Spanish Central District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, McAllen, TX
  • Mr. Greg Kummer, President of the Trust Company at Security Bank & Trust, Glencoe, MN
  • Mr. Gordon Paisley, Program Manager, HR Project Quality at United Airlines, Chicago, IL
  • Mr. Bob Solfelt, Vice President and General Manager, Mortenson Development, Inc., Minneapolis, MN

Of the new board members President Joel Wiggins says, “We are delighted with these who have agreed to serve the College as Trustees. All are outstanding leaders in their particular fields and are fully committed to our mission of providing an exceptional Christian educational experience at an affordable price.”

Rep. Nash described his joining the board as “an exciting journey to carry on the legacy and excellence of this 100 year old institution.  The challenges today facing private schools like Crown are something that we must face and win.  The need to create well rounded students grounded in faith, service, and educational excellence in such a way that they can enter the job market is something that I look forward to working on.”
