July 28, 2014 (Waconia) – Waconia Mayor Jim Nash, Republican candidate for Minnesota House of Representatives in western Carver County (47A), announced today fundraising totals prior to the August 12 Primary election.

“I am pleased to announce that Team Nash has surpassed our fundraising goals well in advance of the primary and in time for the mandatory reporting deadline,” said Nash.  “We have seen incredible support from both voters and donors and are strongly positioned for the last weeks of the primary campaign and for the general election in November. I am thankful and proud to have the support of so many people.”

The campaign finance report filed today shows that the Nash campaign has raised nearly $23,000 since February, and has over $9,600 cash on hand.  Donations were received from more than 110 individual donors.

For comparison purposes, retiring 47A Representative Ernie Leidiger raised just over $16,000 in his first House campaign in 2010, and just over $7,000 for his 2012 re-election.
